General Terms and Conditions of the „International Music Academy“
2026/2027 school year
For all events offered, the following guidelines apply for the current school year, unless otherwise agreed:
1. TERMINATION / LOCATION
By appointment.
2. PAYMENTS
Payment is due within five business days of registration. The standard procedure is prepayment of the semester fee; however, the annual fee can also be paid in advance upon request. 10-class passes and group courses can only be booked in advance.
A monthly payment is only possible for semester and family packages and requires prior agreement with the school administration. It requires a separate written addendum. In this case, six installments are to be paid per semester; each installment must be transferred no later than the last working day of the month prior to the month for which it is due (payment received). Setting up a standing order is recommended.
All payments are made by bank transfer. In the event of late payments, the late payment fee is 10 % of the total invoice amount.
3. SCOPE OF SERVICES AND PRICES
The semester fee includes 18 units of instruction per semester. For bi-weekly private lessons, this is 9 units of instruction per semester. The 10-unit block includes 10 units of instruction. The mentioned units are a fixed component of the semester fee and will be fully provided.
The lessons follow the regular school year. During the times when there is no instruction, make-up and substitute appointments primarily take place; regular instruction is also available upon request.
The price list published at www.intma.at for the current school year applies. Price adjustments will be made at most once per school year. Students will be informed in good time before the cancellation period expires.
4. Catch-up and Expiration of Teaching Units
Lessons canceled in a timely manner – meaning no later than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment – will be made up. With the semester package, up to 4 of the 18 lessons per semester can be made up; with bi-weekly private lessons, up to 2 of 9; with the 10-lesson package, up to 3 of 10 lessons.
Resit dates can be arranged until the end of the current semester; beyond that, there is a grace period of four weeks into the following semester. For the winter semester, this means a resit possibility until the end of February, and for the summer semester, until the end of August. Scheduling will be coordinated with the instructor within the organizational framework of the Academy.
Classes canceled by the instructor will be made up without exception, either by rescheduling or through a substitute teacher. They will not be counted against the makeup lesson quota.
5. Cancellation of Teaching Units
Lessons canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged in full and will not be rescheduled, without exception. This applies regardless of the chosen package and payment model.
6. CANCELLATION, WITHDRAWAL, AND REFUND POLICY
An INTMA registration is valid for one semester and is automatically extended for another semester, unless canceled in writing at least one month before the end of the semester.
- Winter semester: August 1 – January 31
- Summer semester: February 1 – July 31
In the event of early termination, the contribution will be calculated until the end of the current semester.
When booking a 10-session package, cancellation is possible after each completed package; written notification must be given by the 8th session at the latest and at least one month before the desired end date.
If registration takes place via distance selling (e.g., by email or post), consumers have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract. If the lessons have already begun at the express request before the expiry of this period, the proportional fee for the lessons already provided must be paid.
7. DOCUMENTS / AIDS
The costs of the required materials must be borne by the students themselves.
