Flute, recorder
The flutist Milena Purić was born in Belgrade in 2002 and received her first musical education at the music school Stanislav Binički and at the music high school Josip Slavenski. Since 2021 she has been studying concert flute at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK) with Prof. Karl-Heinz Schütz and Jan Ostry. In the winter semester 2024 she completed an Erasmus+ exchange semester at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga.
Milena has won numerous national and international competitions and has extensive experience as an orchestral and chamber musician in renowned Viennese concert halls as well as in international orchestral projects. This versatile artistic activity also characterizes her pedagogical work.
In her lessons for Recorder and flute Milena places particular emphasis on age-appropriate, structured and at the same time playful teaching of musical basics. The aim is to develop technical confidence, musical understanding and enjoyment of making music from the very beginning.
Milena Purić has been part of the teaching team at the International Music Academy since September 2025.
