The guitarist Tim Jurkovič was born in Novo Mesto (Slovenia) in 1999. He began his musical education at the age of seven at the Kočevje Music School. His extraordinary talent became apparent early on, which led him via the Conservatory of Music and Ballet to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), where he has been studying in Álvaro Pierri's class since 2018. He completed his bachelor's degree with distinction in 2022 and is currently continuing his artistic education in the master's program.

He has won several prizes at national and international competitions, including numerous first prizes at TEMSIG (Slovenia), the International Guitar Days Krško and the Antonio Salieri Competition, which he won with the highest score of 100 points. Concert appearances have taken him to renowned venues in Slovenia and Austria, including the Orpheus Hall of the Vienna State Opera, the Grand Hotel Union Ljubljana and festivals and concert series with Glasbena mladina Slovenije. He has also performed as a soloist with the Domžale-Kamnik Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his busy concert schedule, Tim Jurkovič is also involved in organizational matters: since 2019, he has been initiating and curating his own concert formats, including with his organization Musica de Silva. His artistic development has been supported several times by grants from the Slovenian Ministry of Culture. In addition to his musical work, he is interested in other art forms, mathematics and chess.

Tim brings extensive artistic experience to his pedagogical work. In his lessons, he places particular emphasis on a sound technical foundation, musical understanding and individual, motivating support for his students. Tim has been working as a guitar teacher at the International Music Academy since September 2025.
