Mihaela Manea was born in Romania and began her piano studies at the age of six. In 2015-2022 she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she graduated with honors in concert piano with Prof. Stefan Arnold.

She then began master’s studies in chamber music with Prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the same university and postgraduate studies in piano with Prof. Markus Schirmer at the Kunstuni Graz.
Mihaela was a scholarship holder of the Vienna Beethoven Society and the Martha Sobotka Janeczeck Foundation for the promotion of first-class soloists in Vienna. She received significant artistic impulses from pianists such as Angela Hewitt, Robert Levin, Matti Raekallio, Filippo Gamba, Heinz Medjimorec.
She is a multiple prize winner of international competitions (2nd prize at the International Piano Competition Siena, 1st prize at the International Summer Academy of the Mdw, Benjamin Prize of the Wolfgang Bösch Private Foundation, International Piano Competition for Young Musicians, Enschede, Netherlands – 3rd prize and press prize among others).

November 2018 Mihaela will have her debut concert at the Vienna Musikverein in the Glass Hall and December 2019 she will debut in the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, with the “George Enescu” Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Horia Andreescu. She is a regular guest of the most important orchestras in Romania and performs in many concert halls in Europe.
Mihaela puts a special emphasis on chamber music, she performs in ensembles with musicians such as Christian Altenburger, Reinhard Latzko, Rudolf Leopold and others.
