Victoria Choi is a Korean-American pianist living in Vienna, Austria. Victoria studied at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music for her Bachelor’s in Music Education. In Indiana, she studied music education for general music and expanded her repertoire in piano collaboration and opportunities abroad. After finishing her Bachelor’s, Victoria moved to Vienna where she received her Master’s in Voice Accompaniment at the Music and Arts Private University of Vienna.

Victoria’s repertoire consists heavily of opera and musical theater productions. In February 2018, she was a member of the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Weimar, Germany in their production of  La Cenerentola, where she had the opportunity to play the cembalo with the Thüringer Symphoniker in the performances. And again in August 2018 for Die Zauberflöte production when she played the full orchestration for the performances. In Germany, Victoria was a pianist for the Immling Festival in Bad Endorf in August 2021. There, she played the cembalo for the performances of La Cenerentola, along with playing the rehearsals for Madama Butterfly. Additionally, Victoria played the evening gala concerts taking place at the festival.

In Vienna, Victoria was an active pianist for Oper in der Krypta, in which she played the full orchestration for the performances. The operas she has played consist of: Lucia di Lammermoor (2018), La Traviata (2018)Rigoletto (2019),  L’elisir d’amore (2019), and La Boheme (2020). Victoria has also played for Dream Opera Company’s productions of My Fair Lady (2018 and 2020), Pagliacci (2020), Il segreto di Susanna (August 2022), and Pimpinone (November 2022). Her opportunities in Vienna expanded when she was recently a part of Volksoper Wien in their productions of Lady in the Dark (December 2021/January 2022) and Schönberg in Hollywood (April 2022). Victoria has also played at the Wiener Konzerthaus in 2019 with Schubert’s Winterreise and had the opportunity to play for the Orpheus Masterclass in August 2022 playing for the violin students of the prestigious violinist Mario Hossen.

Victoria was also on the staff of the Performing Center Austria for four years where she played for musical theater students at the collegiate level, and has over 10 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons.

Victoria joined the team of the International Music Academy, becoming an important part of the various ensembles of the Academy and offering high quality piano education for students varying from the youngest age to adults, sharing her passion for music and piano playing with great sensitivity.
