Cello, music theory

Anik Schwall began her musical education at the conservatory in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, and continued her studies at the Music Academy of the City of Basel and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. In 2018 she completed her Master of Arts with distinction at the Zurich University of the Arts. Since 2020 she has been a member of the chamber orchestra "Solistes Européens, Luxembourg" and since February 2024 she has a temporary contract with the Tonkünstler Orchestra Lower Austria.

Anik was an academic in the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL) and played ten concert tours with the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). She has worked as a substitute with renowned orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orkest, the Orchestre National de Lorraine and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana. She has also been invited to festivals such as the Gstaad Festival Orchestra and the Grafenegg Academy.

These experiences have taken her to major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. As a soloist, Anik has performed with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, the Grand Ducal Military Orchestra of Luxembourg and other orchestras. In addition to her passion for orchestral music, she is also a committed chamber musician and regularly plays in various ensembles in Luxembourg, Austria and Europe.

City of Luxembourg. From September 2024, Anik will be part of the INTMA family and is looking forward to welcoming many cellists!
